How It Works

ComplianceMate is the only hand held device that makes it possible for food service companies to ensure the health and safety of their patrons and report the results electronically in real-time.

The ComplianceMate™ HAACP System is easy to use.

Centrally located for ease of access, always on and ready to use, Orderite’s™ ComplianceMate™ application, hosted on our proprietary Touchblock™ handheld, is the only purpose-built product that makes it possible for food service companies to ensure the health and safety of their guests while reporting, viewing and remotely managing the results real-time.

Setting up and editing of compliance information

The Touchblock™ handheld downloads the standard ComplianceMate™ application once it has been initially docked on-site. As process rules, checklists, food items, equipment lists, critical limits and corrective actions change, the administrator, using any browser, anywhere, anytime, can implement chain-wide updates consistently and on demand. Additionally, exception criteria, alarms and notification criteria and responses can be changed to meet the user’s dynamic environment.

Data Collection

Using the proprietary portable Touchblock™ handheld, the user follows specifically designed instructional task screens that facilitate easy, quick and accurate information collection.

Multiple input options allow different forms of data input depending on administrator’s criteria. The ComplianceMate™ program captures data directly from the temperature probe, keypad or a selection list.

As items meet the compliance criteria, the user effortlessly navigates the task list through completion. If the user encounters out-of-compliance items, a message immediately appears on the touch screen suggesting appropriate corrective actions. Every check is time stamped; therefore, skipping a task and "filling out the report" later is not possible.

Once completed, the user returns the unit to the docking station, the Touchblock™ searches for the dial tone, automatically connects and the data is transferred to the web portal for presentation and viewing.

Application

A primary compliance challenge for the multi-unit operator is insuring that regularly scheduled checks are conducted correctly and on time. We encourage our customers to employ several levels of management exception notification.

The first level of a critical limit exception notification occurs when a scheduled task is not being performed to specification. If an operator has checks scheduled at 11 AM, 2 PM, 5 PM and 8 PM, and a report is not uploaded within thirty minutes following the check time, a late task notification is sent to unit-level or franchisee management personnel via email or telephone identifying the omission and providing time to address the oversight. Without this notification and proactive response, the task may not be completed and compliance related risk is introduced.

Web reporting and controlled access viewing is the heart of remote compliance management. Once data has been transmitted, the presentation provides high level viewing at a glance. Items outside limits are immediately apparent as the non-compliant reading is posted in red. A “drill down” type of system is used to view item specific information.

With advanced programming, a second set of notifications can be sent when a particular critical limit or sums of critical limits are breached.
